So I accidentally left my convenient foam package containing all the frozen food out all day.

These include packages of cubes of bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. 3 full cube-packs, I just bought them. lol I'm an idiot.

Anyway, can I re-freeze the cubes? Will they still be ok? Or have they gone bad and are no longer good for my fish? :(

While doing research on the shelf life of frozen food i came across some articles stating how fast unthawed frozen food spoils - so if it is indeed unthawed i wouldnt refreeze it. Of course like with everything else in this hobby i am sure those statements are subject to discussion. lol

They were room temperature. Fully thawed. They were on the counter for 10 hours.

I guess I'd rather not take the chance.

The last thing I want is for my fish to get sick. I'd rather eat the $12 the food cost (no pun intended) than kill my fish.

Pitch it. I've tried to salvage thawed frozen foods before--sat only a few hours, right? I've tried it with brine shrimp and blood worms--fully thawed before feeding, and not only did it stink to high heaven, but it fell apart, totally mushy. Yuck! Not worth risking the fish.

When I last moved a couple of years ago I tossed the last things in the freezer, a package of frozen bloodworms and two empty ice trays into the last miscellaneous box on the way out the door and then promptly forgot about them.

Didn't take all that long until I remembered. :rant2: :duh:

Maybe the foulest thing I ever smelled.
