Hi Everybody,
Recently, I purchased a 70 Gallon Acrylic aquarium, used. Dimensions are 60"W x 16"H x 18" deep. The tank is constructed of 1/4" acrylic & I have read on numerous sites that anything above 12-13 inches should be constructed of 3/8". The tank appears to be professionally constructed, it had a worn TRUVU sticker on the front (Hopefully, it came from TRUVU). When purchased, the guy had the tank filled with water with no problems. I have also had it filled for a couple days with no problems. There is bowing in the front but I have read that is normal. I really do not want this tank to break or even leak since it's going in my office at work - that's all I need. Do you think the tank will be alright? Is there a good chance it will break or weaken to the point of leaking? Thanks for the help!
