I used some fritz turbostart 700 on a bunch of tanks with success, FWIW. I still have two bottles of it in the fridge.

Heh. Bio-spira was out of production back then so I took a chance with a refrigerated shipment. It worked well enough for me.

In retrospect, now that I've tried both biospira and turbostart, I think biospira has a slight edge in startup speed, but the packaging annoys me. I like the turbostart bottles much better. The other thing was that I only used the pro-rated minimum dose of turbostart, but used between double and triple the minimum dose for biospira. The bio-spira packaging encourages higher doses, that is probably intentional because they'd get to sell more.

My feeling is that both work well as long as you've got a good batch. I'm not so sure about the non-refridgerated fritz-zyme one though.
