Okay, I've decided to get a few more kuhlis and a redtail shark, and trade in the swords again. I want to go for an asian theme in my tank.

I'm not sure that I have the right plants for this region though, I know the crypts are asian, but I'm not sure about the others. I'd like some suggestions on the native plants in that region, and preferably the more undemanding as I am still a beginner.

One thing that might stick out a bit is the gravel, its' of smooth pebbles of earth tone colors, not the dark sandy substrate I hear about.

Thanx, I actually did some research and found out that most of my plants are already of asian origin. Hornwart is growing like a weed. I need to get more crypts, java ferns, and maybe something else.

java moss? I got rid of mine - was growing out of control but what is left is quite nice if you keep it close to the decor item it swamps

Maybe a moss ball? I read an article about how they only occur in certain lakes in Japan and very large ones are considered natural treasures.
