Feeding Dwarf Frogs
I feed frozen bloodworms and they love them. I use a small plastic pipette with a bubble on one end. Put a small piece of bloodworm in a little water, suck it up with the pipette, and maneuver it to the frogs. Someone said they are clumsy eaters, and they sure are. Much of the time they'd strike the pipette before I could squeeze out a worm, then sit there while the worm floated into the gravel in front of them. This was messy and my tank was getting too dirty, so I came up with this solution:
Get two aquarium suction cups, the kind for attaching tubes etc. to the glass. Opposite the cup end is a little cavity for attaching the U-shaped holder. Remove the holder. Look through your box of doodads and find a hose connector or something else that's the right size to attach the two suction cups together back to back. You'll need an attachment that's just the right length so that one suction cup adheres to the bottom of your tank, and the other one lays just on top of your gravel or sand. Voila! you've got a soft little dinner plate onto which you can gently squeeze out or drop your froggy meals. They figure this out pretty quickly! I feed them morning and evening, and when I check later the food is all or mostly gone--this is helping me to figure out how much to feed. And it makes it easy to remove uneaten food before it spoils.
Of course, some will get dragged around so it's important to vacuum well around the dinner plate regularly. I think it's pretty ingenious if I do say so myself!
