I have an aggressive dalmation male molly. at first he used to chase the female alone, but then he went about chasing almost every other fish in the tank. I then separated him and have housed him in a bowl - there he lives alone. Have I done the right thing ? Is there anyway I can improve this guys poor situation ??

How long did you give him before you took him out, it may just take up to a week before he realises that theres nothing he can do about living with the other fish, did you see any marks on other fish? Damged fins ect

he has been with the other fish for about a month now - and in isolation since last 4 days

Sorry to say that some mollies, male and female alike, just sometimes are a little PITA. The suggested male:female ratios are a good idea if you're not set up for it. Also, just how big is his former tank and now his bowl?
