I have an Elite 802 air pump. For the time being i have one airstone. the pump has two outlets. Am i damaging the pump by blocking the outlet that isn't being used for noise reasons? thanks

I was thinking of putting a short piece of hose on the outlet and kinking the line to prevent the air from escaping.

You could add a splitter and run it backwards. Collect the air from both sides and run it to one airstone.

That'd be the best solution. Then get a longer airstone if you want. =)

Get a T-valve and hook up two outputs in the pump to one airstone.

If the Elite 802 is so big that it has two outlets, why aren't you running more than one stone? (Unless of course you have a really big stone.) Not letting enough air flow through the pump is not good for the pump.
