dude there is absolutely no need at all to be rude. we are just trying to tell you waht is best for your fish, and you posted a question, and you didnt like the answers you got.
I agree that there is no reason to get rude. On the other hand, if I had to read a number of answers telling me to get rid of my bala sharks after I posted that they got killed by a bichir, I'd be somewhat peeved, too. And it was also clear from his answer regarding overstocking that he calculated with current fish sizes. I suppose that some of the people who answered got a bit carried away in their educational fervor ;).

i'll enter the battle as neutral :argue: i've noticed ppl try to help and be a tad blunt with what they're saying. and since it is a sensitive subject ppl will be offended by it. all i'm saying is that those who ask for advice, be willing to accept it. those who give advice, be willing to be courteous in doing so. and those who think they're too good to accept advice, even the most knowledgeable and wisest ppl must humble themselves in order to accept advice (even from someone lowly in knowledge in the fishy realm such as myself :dance2: )

...this thread def. caught my attention, was wonderin why a biker would run over two fish for no reason especially in your aquarium.

Well, WrittenLyric seems to think it's because of all the Jack Daniels that bikers consume.

For the record, I am a biker, and I am here to tell you that I have never run over a fish. Well, not in an aquarium at least...

(Sorry for the hijack - couldn't resist)

:joke:

.

True that CaptnDan, true that! I once dated a member, after we broke up, two neons mysteriously vanished from my tank.. Coincidence? I think not..

I mean, good luck with your tank Newbie. The death of a fish is never a cool thing.

:duh:

How do wounds caused by algae eaters look like?
Ulan, Chinese algae eaters will start to crave protein as they get older. They will learn that they can eat not only the slime coating of other fish, but also their scales. Plecos will also do this and latch onto the sides of fish, making a circular bite mark.

I've really enjoyed the "biker" banter, by the way! :D

Also Biker is the correct way to pronounce Birchir, so i can see why he would think its spelled that way.

Actually, it is written bichir, and most correctly pronounced 'beesheer', as best we have been able to determine from the older Arabic the name most likely originated from.

Nice. Looks like a CAE is the perfect tank mate :shark:.

Hehe. I should probably teach my guppies to ride a bicycle, so they might have a chance in case they ever meet a biker :).
