As Tiger Barbs need to be kept in a school of at least 6, I was wondering if part of that school can be Albino Tiger Barbs. Will Tiger Barbs and Albino Tiger Barbs school together?

I don't see why they wouldn't as they are the 'same' fish... I have marbled, silver, and common hatchet fish that all school together. They are all happy and un-biased in regard to race, creed, color or religion. :)

They are the same specie, so I don't think they would care. I had them once, well, actually greens, albinos, and one reg and then all shoaled up. It was kind of funny looking buy hey :).

I too have tigers, greens and albinos and they prettymuch school together although the albinos tend to stay to themselves sometimes. the greens and regular tigers intermingle completely though. I also have black ruby barbs and they swim around although don't school with the tigers. Kyle

I have 6 tigers, 6 green tigers, and 6 green painted tigers who all school together. They should all school together, but I do recommend getting 2 females and a male of each to avoid any dominance issues. Anyway I hope you enjoy...

what's a green painted tiger? never seen these, do you have any photos? Kyle

Thanks everyone for your input! I now have 5 Tiger Barbs and 3 Albino Tiger Barbs. They are happily schooling and getting along just fine. :D
