i wouldnt use it in a tank because it works best as it start to rot and it will smell in the house. you can try the processed pellets but i think its mostly for the thick green water and keeps the hair algae under control; those arent really big problems in aquariums.
What about the extract?
She's trying a bunch of those algae killing chemicals right now because, uh, you can't exactly put a young pleco in with full grown oscars.
