Sent my wife to Petsmart for the algae-eater extravaganza. Sale included many plecos, ottos, and algae-eater varieties. She asked the guy for 4 otto cats, and of course (to quote the old Sesame Street song) "One of these things is not like the others" In the bag were 3 otto cats and this guy. Not sure if this is a Siamese or Chinese algae eater....or something else? Experts?
Thanks,
Andy

:iagree:Chinese algae eater that does not eat algae. Do not put that in your tank, nasty lil buggers!

Chinese Algae Eaters will get almost a foot long and get to be very territorial. I would take him back definitely, they don't even eat algae.

Trouble? What kind of trouble?! Tank inhabitants are: 7 tiger barbs and a rubber lip pleco. You really think I should return?

didnt know what else was in the tank. IMO they pick one they can pick on other fish not sure about the tigers though.

CAE's

They are famous for attaching themselves to flat shaped fish and leaving little love bites.

They are not afraid of anything. Tough nasty little buggers.
