Algae Eating Shrimp?

I'm going to be putting together a moss tank that I want to house some shrimp in (along with some other fish), but I don't know what type. I figure that a clean-up crew for the moss carpet that I'm planning might be useful. From my understanding, amano shrimp are the best for algae, but I can't seem to find any anywhere.

Do other shrimp species (ghost, cherry, etc.) eat algae? Are some better than others?

ps. i know a clean up crew is not the answer to bad water conditions. but it'd be nice to have something that will munch on the odd strands of brown algae and such

you might want to look into a nerite snail then. They are algae eating machines.

Mgamer carries amanos sometimes. They are also commonly available at alot of chain pet stores under the name "algae eating snail, amano, or yamato" shrimp. Most shrimp will pick at algae as they are omnivores, but amano's are the most adept. Nerite snails are also very efficient algae eaters, but I would prefer to put them in a well established tank.
