Ammonia/Cycling question

I'm fishy cycling and I was wondering if I can just add Amquel+ directly to the tank when ammonia levels get too high instead of doing a water change.

do the water changes. it will keep your fish healthier ultimately. unless youre doing a fishless cycle.

water changes are better IMO cause i added amquel when i was a newb and amquel really smells and my tank smellleddd so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
