Ammonia test regents expire?

I have a Kordon Salicylate test kit that has powder regents that expired 2 years ago. Will they still give accurate readings?

Not to seem harsh, but why would you trust it? Items that have an expiration date usually have one for a very valid reason. It's not like you're talking about a beer that's past it's prime.

Indeed. Many bottle conditioned ales actually improve well past the sell by date.

But I digress. Reagents are not beer. Think more like milk. Never take chances with a product that prints the date you might expire.
