Can anyone tell me how big these grow? Anybody have experience keeping this cichlid? I know temperment varies from fish to fish but what have been your experiences with these guys?

i think they look nice too thats why i'm asking about them. looking in to maybe getting one. would a 55 gallon be enough tank for life?
Is there anything else in the tank?
According to fishbase they only get 8 inches, but fishbase doens't provide behavioral, territorial, or social behavior on it. Without knowing what else is in the 55g, it's hard to so yes or no.

It looks like a fish at my lfs that they call a Domba? Thier's appears to be full grown at about 10in maybe. It is in with a couple of oscars and some silver dollars. It dosn't appear to be too aggresive, but he/she is alone so might not be displaying full territorial behavior. It's got some wicked looking chompers visible even when it's mouth is closed (watch your fingers)
