So I have a 39 gallon bowfront and am trying to have a background of anacharis. After purchasing bunches and planting them in Eco complete in the back they seem to be doing well. One thing I've noticed though is that the roots seem to be growing from the center not the bottom. Sometimes the anacharis will get uprooted by the current in the tank. Will the plant eventually grow roots into the substrate. It seems the anacharis in the part of the tank with less current is growing roots from the center like the others, but has started to have the roots grow into the substrate. Will the rest of the anacharis anchor itself? I know it may not because it can be a floating plant.
