I have a few new anacharis stems in my 20g long, and one of them reaches the top of the tank. It looks like there is a root shooting out of the middle area of the stem, about halfway up the plant. Should I cut the stem and plant the cuttings? I AM trying to propagate the plant to populate the back of my tank.

when mine reached the top i snipped it in half and the top half grew 3-4 new "stems". I have also noticed that if you take any plant and pend the tip so that the plant is horizontal, you will get new stems at each point of where the stem has leaves.

Cool I will try this on my own :)

Interesting, bk. Interesting indeed. I'll try it as well!
