that to, just sad though that it took us 100 years to devulup technology ( telescopes and such ) to make out planets yet they did it back then WITHOUT telescopes and only math....

Well, you see the problem is simple really. Scientist today have what the ancients would have called "a life". Not quite what a modern human would call it but getting there. I'm sure if we had them go back to dedicating there entire lives to figuring things out they'd be as effective as the ancient scientists. Instead they are too busy figuring out what they need to say in order to get maximum face time on History, Discovery, Science, etc. channels.
