I have had my 125g reef set up for over a year now and I have an atlantic anemone that I need to get rid of. It has outgrown the tank. It is over a foot in diameter and getting bigger. I've tried to get it out but I have about 6" of gravel/sand etc and it's anchored down that far. I've tried to dig it up and that doesn't work. I've heard about inserting lemon juice in it to kill it but will wait and see what people think is the solution. Not many people would want to kill one and I would love to give it away but can't get it to move. It's been in the same spot for 13 months. thanks

If it has anchored to the bottom of the glass, move the sand from the base enough to get a credit card down to the glass. Use that to gently scrape it from the glass. What kind of anemone is it? Bartholomea?
