My anenome has been hiding inside our castle (decoration) for a couple weeks now, it has shrunk to about the size of a dime and keeps moving further up into the dark?? does anyone know any reasons for this type of behviour???

Tell us about your tank, params, lighting, size, flow and a few pics if you could please.

I've heard that anemones have a very slow metabolism, so chances are, by the time you see a problem...it's been around for a while.

mine hid away in my my plastic cave...after about three weeks it came out, moved to the front side of the tank, up against the glass and hasnt budged since...they do hide from time to time, especially if you have a couple clowns annoying the hell out of them...

yes, that happened to mine, had a maroon clown bothering it for quite sometime so it hid.. after i separated them they seemed happier..

try baby clowns.. they're much gentler..
