I just recently divided my overcrowded tank as I wait for my 90.

One is a 20 the other a 29.

Both have the same and normal parameters, tested today.

In the 20 I left an angel, a featherfin, and my farawella.

Well the angel is acting weird today,(day 2 of seperation), he keeps running his nose along the glass and swimming back and forth quickly. He seems very spastic, should I move him to the 29 with the other angel or what do you think his deal is. His appetite is normal.

They are not a pair, fought occasionally when in the old overcrowded tank but never brutal or constant. I thought they'd be happier seperated until put into a 90 with lots of territory.

0 0 and 20..78 temp. Been the same for a long time.

He seems calmer, but still seems to be "looking" for something so to speak.
Oh well, we'll see.

was this angel kept with another angel?

I oersonally like the water a bit warmer for angels..I notice mine spasm when the water is cooler(upper 70's)

also this is a new setup for this angel..they may take a few days to get acclimated to new surroundings.

my single angel does this alot, as do the angels in my school of 6, when i come near the tank. perhaps he is just happy to see you, but putting him in the 29 gallon with the other angel cant hurt.
he might just be a little excited from all of the roomhe gets now that hes all by himself except for two toher fish.

ya the first day and second day i got my angel he did that same thing all the time, now he has stopped but he still does it once in a while

Yeah he has calmed down now, I think the sudden change from crowdedness and some missing decor made it very new to him. He seems to be lolly gagging along in peace so I will let him be. I also need to add more stuff so it's not so bare so he'll feel a bit more comfortable, but been working late, no time to find rocks to glue or driftwood. His appetite certainly never suffered! Haha

On a side note I did find amonia(.5) in my 29 today *grrr* So did a big water change and vacuumed out as much as I could of anything I saw(sand bottom). Gonna cut back feeding to once a day for a few days, shook my old bio filter in the 29 to try to dump off some more bacteria on the filter in there.

Everything should work out then. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input. If for some reason he does seem to get depressed or overly sluggish I will move him, but he seems calm and happy now, so it's possibly the latter!
