I don't have my 55g set up yet but I'm thinking about what I want to put in it. I definately want to have plants. I would like to have some Angels, other than that I'm open for sugestions. Maybe some black mollies and zebra danios, but other than that I don't have any ideas and I've been having finding info on compatability.
my current 75g setup consists of Angels, Gouramis, Cories and swordtails....oh and one pleco. The Angel's chase each other, the Gouramis chase each other....as well as the Swords with each other....but I have rarely seen one type chase another. So I believe I have a pretty good community of happy fish.
Watch the mollies, I've read that they might be tail nippers...not good with the Angels....but Platys are not, and they look pretty similar to me. But then again, so do the Swordtails...to me.

I have kept a 55 gallon plant tank with a pair of angels in it and I will let you know, they love eating danios and fish of similar size. Mine would hide in a huge sword plant and would pounce on them and eat them whole. I was amazed and realized why my tank went from 25 danios to 10 after a period of time.
In my 75 G tank I have two angels, 2 german rams, four dwarf rainbow fish, four panda cories, large pleco and large rainbow shark. They all get along fabulously. The only chasing that goes on is Ms. Shark chasing those lowly rams away from her abode at meal time.
