I have a 1m and 1fm angelfish that I have kept sepparated due to signs of mild agresion, at the time I didn't know that this was normal for angels. I am fairly sure of the sex, the males breeding tube is shaped like a pencil tip and I witnessed the fm laying eggs. Although I know it is unlikly that they will pair up now, I want to give it a shot.

My questions are:

Do you think it's even worth trying, or am I wasting my time?

What kind of agresion should I expect and where do I draw the line and sepparate them again?

I will be trying them in my 125 as it has the most cover and room to getaway. I just don't want them to hurt each other, or worse.

Thanx in advance.

They should be fine, i've had 20 some pairs never had one hurt the other. If you have a 3rd one they can be hard on it.

They are not "paired" though. Corect me if I'm wrong: From my understanding they have to decide they like each other first before they will pair up. If they decide they don't like each other are they likely to cause damage? The last time I put them together they started the whole lip lock thing and I wasn't sure what to do so I sepperated them. Is this normal? Will they just work it out between them? Thanks again for any help.

They are about 2 1/2 in long without the tail fin. I'm going to go ahead and give it a shot. We'll see how things go.

Well I think they like each other. Last night they where doing the whole lip locking thing, but today they are hanging out. I took a few pics for fun.
