Are these going in your 55? If so, then angels all the way. Sevs get way to big for a standard 55.
hmmm... see thats the great thing about the internet. so much different info. did you end up getting the severum? does it look cramped? i mean would a severum be ok in a 40 breeder? if not i could always sell it to someone with a 75 or upgrade to a75 if need be.
i have a tank big enough for either, but do angels bite at your fingers or watch you from the outside of the tank?
oh ok someone told me a severum would be good and most sites say severums an go in a 55.
why even get the fish then? If you don't have the 55, then I'd just go with something bigger to begin with. (75+)
really like the severums though. i guess we'll see. there will be 5 other fish with them so..... maybe ill go to a store and see how an angelfish reacts to my finger.:evil_lol:lol, I have a clownfish that does that... not even 2in long, could (and would) take on an eagle if the bird was dumb enough to get too close.
Correction to every site and idea about them ever made: unless the fish is a schooling fish, they are assuming that you will only have one. Getting two fish means needing a larger tank. Getting 3, same thing.
Why get the fish? So he can gain experience keeping them and decide if it does look cramped in a 55.
I would go with angels. They can have companions in the tank with them and aren't as large a severums, thus, more in less.
