angelfish!

You could add: Pearl or Dwarf Gouramis, Bleeding Heart Tetras or Lemon Tetras, any sort of Platy, any cory, a pleco, even some Neon dwarf rainbows (Melanotaenia praecox).

Beware: I do not recomend zebra danio, neon tetra, harlequin rasbora, guppies or any small fish because in 45 G your angels will grow enough to eat them!

male guppies will be eaten by fully grown angels.

red eye, black skirt, lemon, diamond, and rummynose tetras all make good tankmates for angels.

hatchetfish and platies are good choice for top-dwellers

kuhli loaches and corydoras are good for the bottom. most other loach species will be to boisterous.

any larger fish such as hatchetfish shold hold up to that angel! : D

I'd think twice before putting in black skirt tetras with the angelfish. I did that before and the black skirt tetras loved nipping the fins of my angelfish, so I put the tetras in another tank.

In my 50g tank, I have rummynose tetras, Pristella maxillaris, corydoras catfish, bristlenose pleco, Otocinclus vestitus and blue rams (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) as tankmates of my angelfish.

bettas and angels arent known to be best of friends.....

i was thinking of doing a tank with my betta and angels and it was strongly suggested that it was a bad idea. Most fish compat charts show them not being compatible.

my angelfish does not tolerate tank mates. at least none that i have tried, which are danio's, neon tetra's, pleco, cories, girl bettas and kuhli loaches.
