I was wondering if anyone has kept Angels and Sevs together? If so, what was your experience with them?

If I added my Angels to my tank it would be...2 Gold Sevs, 1 FM, 1 Blue Gourami, 3 Paradise fish and then the 2 Angels....this is a 55

should be ok G watch the angels though they might get territorial when bigger

i have them together. when the sevs were smaller they would nip the angels' fins a little, but as they now approach the same size they don't do it anymore. i think it was a defense mechanism - don't mess with me, i can nip you! the angels don't really care about the sevs at all, they do more damage to each other than the sevs do to them.

edit: i don't know how it would be adding smaller angels to larger sevs.

Ok, well...I think I'll at least give it a try, I can always take them back out if needed, Thanks guys!! :)

My son keeps a green Sev with two angels and others. I think it will depend on their personalities.

Ok, since so each person who has responded has said either they have done it or known someone who has and it has been fine, I am going to try it out.

Thanks guys, I just want my Angels to be able to go to a larger tank and also let my "girls" have their tank back to themselves. :)

I think you listed a firemouth in that tank. I would watch him just in case he decides to be a problem with the angels. I do not have any experience with sevs and angels together but again just keep a close eye on things and if things are going fine then great. If it is a problem then be ready to move someone if necessary. Also paradise fish can be feisty too and need to be watched for any weird interactions.

Well, my Firemouth...yes I will be watching him. He does fine toward everyone else in the tank, except when they try and go to his spot..then he comes out flairing, but just gives a little chase and leaves them alone once they are away from his area. He was more aggressive when he had his female in the tank.

The paradise fish, really I am still learning about them...since well (dare I say) they were an "impulse" buy, which I knew nothing about. So far though they pretty much stay with each other and don't really bother anyone else in the tank.

I will be keeping an eye on the tank though, and if it seems there is going to be a problem..well I'll just move the angels back with the female bettas :)

So, I just wanted to update. I did get my Angels moved into the 55g, so far everyone is doing well.
