Okay.. My angels seem fine now for all of you who've been keeping up with my posts. Except.. They both swim to the side of the tank and up and down along the glass, facing it. Also they hang around the live plants a lot - which is supposedly normal.

And.. Well.. One likes to spazz. It'll suddenly go really fast or like when you're paranoid, you look around really quick-like. Yeah, it does that. It did it when I got them too, so I know it's not my tank or whatever. I just find it strange.

Well fish like to feel secure.... the more secure they feel the less paranoid they will be and less skitish. They feel better when they can hide, and a background lets them know that they can't be "attacked" from all directions. I wrap my backgrounds around the sides a little so that the fish can rest in the back corners and feel secure. But someone else may have another opinion.

Aw. Thanks, I'll get one soon.

Angels can and do move very fast if they want to. My angelfish gets excited like that about food if i've not feed him a for a day like I do occasionally. I can say that younger fish of any kind tend to do more play movement that just seems to be because they can.

Do you think that it is play behavior? I haven't really kept angels, so I don't know, but its sounds to me more like they are nervous. Part of the post does sound like they could be playing, but part of it makes the fish sound disturbed, which is what angelkitty seems to be focusing on. More description of the behavior might be helpful.

Then again maybe the fish is just neurotic......

have you noticed if their breeding tubes are visible? this could explain a lot. right now, i have a young male attacking his reflection. the other angels have not reached that stage yet.

What do breeding tubes look like?
