How big do angelfish grow, and if there are different kinds which one grows to be over 5 or 6 inches?

if you want them to be 5-6" tall (including finnage) scalare.
altums tend to get a bit larger(they are aslo a bit more difficult to keep.)

Scalares around 5-7''. For Altums, it kind of depends. My LFS has some for sale that are 13'' tall, and have had some that were 15''. I believe the average is around 9'' or 8'', but there's reports of them growing up to 18'' in the wild. This is tall, not long, of course. Both are usually about 5-7'' long.
