Pretty strange looking creature. I saw this on another fish forum. Is it a hoax or what? Zombie animal?
"It's body looked like something that has been dead for a month or so," Womack said.

What do you think? Is this a credible news source?

People shouldn't try to crossbreed greyhounds with kangaroos.

i wouldnt call it a credible news source, but i dont believe its a hoax.

Chupacabra? Could be, many folklore creatures have their basis in animals that arent understood and rarely seen, and they are often glorified and exagerated in many ways. My guess is that its a coyote and dog mix, which could explain a lot. For starters it explains the rarity of the chupacabra; if we look at a mule (horse donkey mix) we see that its sterile, and if it wasnt for farmers breeding them together we wouldnt see them nearly as much (obviously). The fact that there arent too many wild dogs, and the possibility of a mix between a coyote and dog is really small says a lot. We also have to look at the fact that there are a lot more wild dogs in Mexico than in the US, possibly helping to explain the story's origins. As far as the apparent mange is concerned, it can be attributed to a mutation of the animals genes that could occur during the deveopement of the embryo. I highly doubt its a new species, it just doesnt seem like its made for survival.

Normally i would have blown something like this off as a very sick dog, but ive seen it in a few news letters and heard about it a few times.

its still just speculation, speculation, speculation

It's a credible news source.

It looks very much like the Mexican Hairless dog...

From the other pics, I'd have to say it's one dead Mexican Hairless dog.

The forum where I found this link has some of the same pics up. They do look very similar. The strange part is how they said it's ear just broke off, nearly no blood came from the wound and how it looked like it had been dead for quite a while.

Maybe they waited a while before they pulled it from under their house and just didn't tell anybody...?

If I had to make an assumption, it would also be with the hairless dog.

It seems like I have been reading about things like this a lot lately.

look at the difference in leg sizes, Its probably a coyote-hairless mix. The back legs on the mystery dog are much longer than the front. Not to mention that the extream overbite on the dead one is much to large to occur just becuase of mange. The overbite also occured in other examples. regardless, it probably was infected with mange, which explains the lack of blood flow in the ear and why it crumbled. The mange probably destroyed most of the capilaries in the ear.
