Hi Everyone
My bro just picked up a 65g tank >> 36 x 18 x 24 dimensions and we're at a total loss for ideas on what to put in it, so I was wondering if you'd please give me some suggestions...

The criteria are :-

1) NO DISCUS (or cichlids of any sorts)
2) Freshwater
3) Something unusual (no guppies / gouramis / tetras)

There's gravel in the bottom of the tank - but that's negotiable, and filtration is an AC 300 and a Penguin 200. He's gota few years of experience in the hobby and capable of handling fish that are demanding.

Thanks a lot

Add SW and corals...?

Lol - very tempting but there's an area of aquaria neither him nor me have any clue about

Kuhli Loach, Kellies, freshwater string rays (called something Pleco usually), gars, needle-fish, eels, shrimps, leaf-fish (these are cool), the list goes on, but also gets expessive QUICK!

The leaf-fish looks like a really good candidate :) I looked it up and am absolutely intrigued... now if only i could find one here

I love longfin zebra danios. They're very active and you could have a pretty big school of them in that tank. They don't always school but they do sometimes and they are definately not picky eaters.

if you want unusual...
the elephant noses are about as unusual as it gets.
they sound like they need a very intense diet, though
