so i was at my lfs yesterday and they had some little anubias that they said some guy had brought in. the rhizome was the same length as the regular anubias nana i have at home (~1 1/2 inch) but it was much thinner and had at least 6 small leaves, maybe a little bigger than a nickel on it. the leaves were attached to stems maybe an inch and a half long. so i asked the girl that i usually talk to at the store what it was. she said that the guy who brought it in is pretty knowledgeable about plants and he said it is regular anubias nana. so my question is: is it possible that this was just a baby anubias nana or is it more likely to be the petite version since it has a relatively long rhizome and many leaves yet it is much thinner and shorter than the anubias nana i bought from them before?
they were going to let me have it for 5 or 6 bucks but i didn't buy it since they said it is the regular version and i figure they would know better than i.

I think it is just the 'nana' but with a small tuber. I have some that are very small. I know they came from the regular 'nana', they are what is left of a plant I almost killed. They grow so slowly that I would think if you wanted them small, they will remain that way for quite sometime.

great, thanks guys. i'm glad I didn't get it then since I already have a regular nana.

According to the literature, Anubias petite may not be a stable cultivar---under hight light and nutrient levels, it will revert back to nana.
