I am wondering if i can mix these two. They are both very agressive and like the same water parameters the only difference is the the brichardi is an omnivore. They are similar sizes and look different form one another so i don't think they will be overly aggressive towards one another and both like to have territories which i don't think is a problem in my 75 gallon tank which i will be putting much more rocks into.

What do you guys think? I guess it can be done but i wanted to hear what your thoughts are

the other tank species is going to be some yellow labs.

I would say no. The labs will get stuck in the middle of it all, but the worst of the problems would be with the demasoni and brichardi. Both will breed, and neither back down from a fight. Your tank would quickly become a battlefield, with the labs as collateral. Not only that, but brichardi need protein, and the mbuna will get bloat from it.

You could try it, but have a back up plan. Mbuna are nippy and could end up shredding those fins. Also I wouldn't keep demasoni with afras. They just look too much alike(vertical stripes) and demasoni won't tolerate anything that looks like them.

jpappy brings up a good point. They are colony fish.

yeah i read that about the Demasoni but i found that these two fish are compatable.

Since the Demasoni group is so large wouldn't that help reduce the agression towards the cynotilapia afra? because since there is already so many stripped fish in the tank the aggression will be spread out a lot.
