Any problems or suggestions???

Hello, I'm new here, and I was just wondering if anyone saw any problems with or suggestions with the inhabitants of my two tanks...

30 GAL
-1 pleco
-9 Cardinal Tetras
-2 small (baby) angelfish
-2 bala sharks
-3 bottom feeders
-1 Jack Blue Dempsey
-2 algae eater things
-1 pencil fish
-1dwarf blue gaurami

2 GAL
-1 Otto

Please tell my any problems or suggestions you can think of...

Nothing overtly dangerous to one another, though sometimes angelfish may become agressove when they are older but chances are they maybe wont if they grow up with the inhabitants of the tank, I would not however put any more fish in that aquarium to avoid overcrowding,

You are gonna need a WAY WAY bigger tank! I see alot of problems such as angels eating cardnals once they are grown etc. but I'll let others point them out. Also please specify "bottom feeders" and "algea eater things" Welcome to the site!

bala sharks get about 12" long and i don't know much about cichlids but i do know jack dempsey's get pretty big. I think your selection is a bit over crowded, especially if your "algea eater things" or your "bottom feeders" are common plecos.

EDIT: well if I was more observant i would have seen that you already specified a pleco but still if it is a common pleco it will grow too large for your selection.

Yeah bala sharks do get big but I shouldn't be talking I have one in a 30 gallon right now(I'm moving soon so I'm waiting to get a larger tank)

Angel Fish are going to eat the Tetras, Jack Dempsey will eat the Angels. Depends what ‘bottom feeders’ and ‘algae eating things’ you have, need a name to comment. And as stated before Bala Sharks just get way too big.

Balas and plecos will out grow this tank. I would take them back to the local fish store and get some credit for them and do not add anything else. Your tank is plenty full. Also, you may want to return the Jack Dempsy, he will also out grow this tank but before that terrorize and bully everyone else there. Jack Dempsys are not community fish. Who ever told you that or sold you that fish to be placed in a tank, you should request your money back.
