I haven't been watching it closely, but with all the media coverage it's been hard not to follow along. Personally I'm appalled at the court system and jury for their verdict, it's amazing the kind of cess pool this country is sinking into.
Anyone have any opinions on it?

GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY...

it sickens me...she got whipped of all charges but obstructing an investigation.

she needs to be locked up..what parent forgets to report there child missing for 30 days?!?!!? and is out parting?...

anyway...

The jury did what a fair jury should have done. They looked at the case presented to them and based upon that case they found her not guilty, which I agree with. Outside of circumstantial evidence and conjecture there was no proof that she did it.

Right or wrong....despite your belief of guilt/innocence.....the justice system we have is what we have and has proven well for 200 plus yrs. Better for a hundred guilty to go free than an innocent to go to jail. The law is what we follow. 12 folks saw/heard more than we did and had the task to follow the letter of the law vice personal opinion of media driven comments.

I guess it works out if you think the child committed suicide, duct taped her own mouth, wrapped herself in the families blankets, rode in the trunk of the car post mortem, and then dumped herself in the nearby swamp.

One of the things that bothered me was the fabrications by the defense, the alleged sexual abuse by the father with absolutely no evidence.

Either way, I believe the justice system failed that innocent child, but the good news is that one of the jurors didn't have to cancel his cruise plans on the 7th.

How can you be appalled if you weren't watching it closely? You wouldn't have enough information to form a fair opinion without watching it closely. Hell, you wouldn't have enough information with watching it closely since the media outlets are entirely incompetent when it comes to reporting court cases.

I really don't get how people get their image of the modern justice system. They watch news coverage and suddenly think their opinion is better then people who have been forced to basically study all the evidence and listen to arguments the whole time.

The defense doesn't have to prove anything, jeta.....

Thank you, I have tried explaining this concept to other people and for whatever reason, ignorance probably being the highest on the list, they do not seem to understand. Take your personal feelings out and look at the evidence presented and not one piece proves she did anything. The evidence may prove that she is probably psychology unsound but it does not prove her to be a murderer.

I hear a lot of people talking about justice for Caylee, justice isn't something that is for the dead, they are dead, they don't know if their killer is in prison or not because they are dead. Justice is for those who are left behind.
