Anyone else had problems with BigAlsOnline?

I've place 3 orders there and had problems with 2 shipments. The first order was fine. In the second order, I ordered a bunch of fake plants and one of them was smashed and broken. It was obvious that it was smashed and broken prior to shipping because it was placed in a notted plastic bag so that all of the pieces could be contaned together....even the base was broken . I promptly sent an e-mail and was refunded for the plant. Ok, thanks. My third order was missing an item altogether! I ordered about 6 items including a chlorine/mine test kit and it wasn't in the box or on backorder - I was charged for it. I sent an e-mail, got no response, so I called. They said they would send another out to me "in good faith" as it is very hard for an order to leave the wharehouse and not be completely filled. Ok, I feel like a criminal, but thanks :( . They have handled both problems satisfactorily, but I'm a little discouraged by my percentage of problems vs. orders placed. I'm setting up a 125 and I need another couple of things (seems like it never stops) but am thinking to order from somewhere else. Anybody have good luck with other online retailers with good prices?

Ive ordered many times with bigalsonline, and have never had a single issue.

Your just unlucky I suppose.

I won't order from anybody else. Never had a problem of any kind. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is they tell you your order has shipped when it actually sits in the warehouse for a day or two.

I primarily use thatpetplace.com - 23 orders, 0 mishaps, and stellar customer service.

I've also shopped at Drs. Foster and Smith with no complaints.

I tried to shop at Big Al's one time, and the customer service was so bad after an error with the order that I simply don't patronize them.

hmmmmm I use the Dr.'s and live aquaria never had a problem with them

I've also ordered from Dr.'s F & S and Big Al's without problems.
