First I have to say Hi to all Members. I am new to this forum and this hobby in general but I am here to stay. I have been very patient for more than three weeks waiting for the tank to cycle but I've found that I just screwed up by using the wrong ammonia. It was clear, odorless with no bubbles but I didn’t know with surfactant as ingredient is not the one to use. Now I am starting over again but I was just wondering if anybody lives in South Orange, Maplewood, West Orange, Orange, Millburn Springfield or Union has anything to spare. I could do very well with some mature media to speed up my cycling.

I checked many LFS but none of them do that….

If we could somehow harvest and suppluyour local LFS we could spare people the effort of finding someone with mature media. Not to mention, spare fish suffering in "fishy" cycles.

Anyway, I am not in NJ but in Dutchess County NY, if you are ever up here just let me know I am happy to help out.

I would, but I just changed my filters last week. I use the old media with the new filters for a couple weeks so I don't get into a mini-cycle. Sorry.
