Curious if anyone keeps a species of dwarf shrimp in their shellie tank, and how its workin out if you do/have

I have kept Crayfish with larger cichlids but not large enough to shred the Crayfish and the Crayfish not large enough to kill the fish, but its all risky keeping Invert's with cichlids.. I did keep some Bamboo Shrimp with some Africans at one time but they started to pick on the shrimp so i removed him.. I would say the smaller ornament shrimp like the Cherries will be fish food for any cichlid.. I currently have a Nano tank with some tiny baby Trewavasae's with some adult cherry shrimp in there so far so good and when the babies get big enough i will move them before they eat the shrimp.. Which i am almost certain they are eating the baby shrimp.. But no i have never kept Shellies with shrimp, Shellies have a very large temper for a small fish and would probably eat the shrimp or kill them for being in the same tank with their babies..
I had a lot of empty bladder snail shells in my tang tank and I wouldn't doubt the multis had something to do with it...dont think the mix will work well.
I kept shrimp and snails with neolamprologus multifasciatus. They did fine. It had tons of hiding spots though and i NEVER saw baby shrimp, just the adults.
