I have one...they are good because they are filter feeders, which means they will help keep your nitrates down.
If you get them I suggest you buy some filter feeder food that comes in a bottle to supplement thier diet, because if there isn't enough food in the water column they can starve pretty quickly. It comes in a bottle and I usually put about 12 drops in 2 or 3 times a week. Seems to keep mine healthy and kicking. DOn't expect them to add any excitement or color to your tank though...they borough under the substrate and you never see them except every now and then when they decide to move somewhere else.
