Anyone play WoW?

We dumped WoW after years of hardwork, and they scrapped all our purples in one swift move with the expansion. Forget that. Plus our silly guild just continued to play "personal property" with all the good stuff.

We're playing LotR right now, but I MISS THE ENDGAME! *cries* Oh god... please let me return some day to being emotionally pummeled as a main tank healer! I miss Chromaggus! I miss Nefarian! I miss Huhuran! I miss Twin Emps! I miss Grobbulus! *tear*

Nothing's more exciting than holding 40 people's lives in your hands. Or when that last heal goes off when he's down to 20 hit points. Man those were the days.

Formerly, Horde Troll Priest, Thunderhorn server.

LOL.

Warcraft is such an addicting and life-changing game. Heck, I had so much respect for it, I refused to call it game. My buddies got it for my birthday 2 years back........i couldnt stop playing from that moment on till i beat every dang quest and leveled up all my skills. Dang, I started leaving work early for it. I played until my wife *sold* the profile to her brother in Poland. LOL. I loved her and haed her for it. But in the end, it was the right thing to do.

twas a lvl 60 night elf, by the nameth "yashi"

That is exactly why I stopped playing my NE druid. It was too **** stressful for me. Rerolled an UD lock on the same server so I could just sit back and pewpewpewpewpewpew ( welp and pvp people on Alliance side that pissed me off LOL;) ) I mostly miss my buddies. We had such great times. Would have drinking games while playing like "everytime someone other than the main tanks pulls aggro everyone must take a shot". MC was sooo much more fun when you were slightly buzzed ;)

My ex GF became addicted while she was in between jobs.

it was part of why our relationship ended..

While I was out working 40+ hours per week, she was playing 50+ hours per week on WoW. I mean, she would literally play for 10 hours straight...sometimes she would sit down at 7pm and play until 430 in the morning, sleep for a few hours and then start playing all day again..:(

it was really bad..

so, be careful!

It can become a serious addiction if you let it...

and thats all I will say on this thread...

It is true some people have a hard time keeping it in it's place - and I know of at least more marriages that broke up from that game than I can count on one hand.

But for those of us who used it as the cheapest form of entertainment around...

You look good in High Res...
You've got uber chat skills, won't you grind quest with me?
Endlessly.

Tanking mobs is my role
I maintain aggro
But the rogue doesn't know, he's not mt tonight

World of Warcraft is a feeling
Who needs a social life?
I can't wait to log on, hop on a griffon...

WOW looks to cartoonie for me. Great gameplay but the graphics are lame.

I,not as much now, play Guild Wars. The graphics are awesome and even better all you pay for is the game. You don't pay any monthly subscription fees.

I played DAOC for about 5 months and then had a falling out with the rl friend who got me started so I quit the same week my ice wizzie hit 50. Some old friends I played Sojourn/Toril and Homeland MUDs with prodded me for 6 months to play WoW with them. I just turned my account off at the end of last month for the 5th time after playing for almost 2 years.

70 Gnome Warrior, 70 Human Warlock, 70 NE Warrior (was crafter before transfer, gnome was homegrown), 70 NE Hunter, 35 Mage, 23 Dranei Shammy on Thrall

NeonJulie...I too miss the end game prior to the expansion. I saw some of the post expansion (Karazhan) end game, but kept finding morons and children in the guilds that played the same time I did.

BTW, If anyone is interested, I have two Collector's Edition with Netherwhelp pet unopened still in plastic. I don't know what they are going for now, but I bought them for $150 each plus shipping when there was no more available from Blizzard.
