Er, its a little magnetic tube that the water flows through.
Take away the massive jumble of advertising BS, and you have a product that does absolutely nothing. They are lucky that they have such a small market, if they were larger, the FTC would take notice and go ask them for proof of their claims.

Magnetic tube is a bit of an overstatement. It's a tube with a few magnets taped to it.
I am thinking of DIYing one by wrapping a return line with one of those sheet fridge magnets the realtors give out.

They work as good as the chips you stick in your cell phone to have better reception (aka antenna booster) or the stickers you slap on your engine block that by miracle give you 50 more HP and cut your gas consumption in half. ROTFL
