So i Got mine today and im about to check my water and remember im going through my cycle so can you guys tell me if my results are normal

What are your results?

Nitrite and nitrate are good. P.H. only really depends on te fish you are keeping. Amonia should be 0 but I think .25 is the maximum it should be. Any higher and it is dangerous.
Oh sorry I forgot you were cycling. Did you add an amonia source to begin the cycle?

Goldfish :D
Im Doing the fish in cycle so doesnt the ammonia appear by itself?

The nitrites will rise later, and finally the nitrates will rise. For the fish's sake I would change enough water to keep the ammonia no higher than it is now.

Actually, pH is more important to the cycle than to the fish. If it drops too low, the cycle will slow down or stall. The fish don't care a monkeys' about the pH.

Couldnt keep discus with a ph of 8 and you coldnt keep malawis with a ph of 4. It does matter. I have had failiure with several soft water teras, but when put in a softwater aquarium they thrived.
