We had aiptasia in out tank when we first set up from our LR, we went out and got peppermint shrimp, only thing thing they have done is to look cute. so we did the joes juice thing, i was worried about the residue, but so far there is no harm from it and the aiptasia is gone. here's a before and after pic's
The young man at my LFS suggested that I take a long thin wire and poke it down into the center. He said they would actually explode when you do that. It definitely sounds easier than trying to inject them, but I have doen neither method as I just found my first one last night before the lights went off and I plan on tackling it tonight after work.

There are actually 6 different species of Peppermint Shrimp. Only I think 3 or 4 of the 6 eat Aptasias. You can ask someone from your lfs if they can classify them. I go to Aquamaine's Fish and Reptile World and another one called like Aquarium shop of nc. Only aquamaine can classify them. I like the pepremint Shrimp method bc you get a little aptasia killing thing along with a really smart cute little shrimp that mimics you. Every Peppermint Shrimp I had, I hand fed it. It also mimicked me if I would shake my head back and forth to it.
