I bid on an AquaEL Unimax 150 w/UV a couple of weeks ago and I actually won it for $55.00! The seller wrote the name of the filter wrong so no one else really found it but me "Aqua El Uni Max".

This sells for $200.00 on Drs. Foster and Smith. I just received it in the mail today and plan to hook it up either tonight or tomorrow. I will post photos if it when it is up and running.

After installing the new filter I will be running a Marineland Magnun 350 PRO and the AquaEl Unimax PRO with UV. Can't wait to get it up and running.

lol! that seller must be an idiot. he cant even spelli it right. his ad has some grammar mistakes.

So much fun, I have gotten some really good deals that way on e-bay.

nice, but I got a UV unit from Petsmart for like $40 after taxes and shipping, thing removed my green water in like 4 days.

Not just a UV, an external canister filter w/UV, needed the 2nd canister due to my stocking anyway so figured I would get one with UV. Kill 2 birds with one stone plus the UV has it's own plug so I don't have to run it 24/7.

Just wanted to give an update, I installed the canister filter yesterday (Saturday the 1st) and all is working wonderfully. Saw clearer water in a matter of hours. I decided to install the spray bar instead of the diffuser nozzle to get a little less current. My Marineland creates enough current as it is for my clown loaches. Quietest filter that I have ever ran, the air pump makes like 10 times the noise as the canister.

The lower tray carries mini-bioballs, the middle tray carries zeocarbon on the top of the tray and a sponge on the bottom of the tray and the top tray carries three layers of sponges with a strainer. (All media was included with the purchase of the filter).

The setup was easy, however the instructions were translated terribly. "Turn the command module anti-clockwise until resistance" was just one of the instructions that made it comical to install.

I highly recommend this filter to everyone! The 1st photo shows the canister itself, the 2nd photo shows the intake pipe and spray bar at the top, my Angel and pleco made it into the photo.
