I want to paint one side of the inside of my aquarium black. Is this possible? Anyone know of paint that will stick to glass and is not toxic to fish?

Hmmmm..........

Why don't you just paint the outside of the tank? That way you don't have to worry about the paints toxicity to fish. I've heard of people painting the back of their tanks, but I'm not sure of what kind of paint they use. I hope somebody chimes in.:D

Paint the outside. I did my 55 in a medium metallic blue ..one can..and it looks awesome..make sure you mask the tank off so you dont get oversray into the tank. And when its dry wash the tank out. And make sure the glass is spotless before you paint or any smudge or finger prints going to show up like its a neon sign. I used a good quality enamel spray paint..cost me all of a couple bucks

I didn't know you could use enamel spray paint, when I painted the back of one of my tanks black I used paint from a craft store specially designed for painting on glass and ceramics.
I haven't ever heard of anyone painting the inside of the glass, it really might not be a good idea...

I would suggest, like the others, that you paint the outside, it will make your life much easier. Cleaning algae off glass will be much easier than pain, with all the little crevices for it to hide in.

If you do have your heart set on it, I would wager that the enamel paint used for pools would be safe.
