AB Aquascaping Contest extended

Now you have more of a chance than ever before to win a CO2 system. The AB aquascaping photo contest has been extended to May 1, 2003. Entries of any size planted tank are accepted by email or mail from anywhere in the world. Show off your tank for the world to see and maybe be the grand prize winner!

Things like this really frustrate me. Why do all these contests always award prizes that are inherently not needed. Who ever wins this probably doesn't need the prize. They should have a contest to see whose tank is the ugliest and award the system to them, in hopes that their tank gets prettier. I guess that wouldn't be consistent with our American principles of the rich getting richer. . . ;)

Except in this case: the lush are getting lusher. . .

Glen has a good point. All of there people or at least 99% have a CO2 system. They don't need one.

I think Joe has an awesome chance at winning. I know he will send the prize to my house since I am only using 3 DiY CO2 soda bottles. ;) ;)

ah, but alot of people wouldnt enter if there wasnt a prize, and they have made the prize something that would be of use to those who have an interest in planted aquaria.

I must say that if I won I wouldn't miss the Sunkist bottle behind my tank *cough*GhettO*cough* ;)

On a side note it's nice to see a fellow Oregonian running around this place. I'm in West Portland :)

WEll I am expecting, or hoping, all these people here who have DIY yeast systems, or running something like the Hagen thingy migig will enter!

Or, as you said, its an excuse to set up another tank....which means you will need more plants...and then maybe you will remember who is selling plants! ;)

The contest is open to anyone, with any sort of tank that has real plants in it...sorry no rock gardens!

Damn, I am one of the oldest members here, since 1998 and now I am a junior member....!

I have 9 planted tanks, one with pressurized co2. I am not an aquascaper, I plant my tanks for my fish and for me. I might send in a picture but I would never go through the hassle of filling out a form with all the details. My tanks never look the same from month to month anyway. I add or remove stuff all the time and of course my fish often like to help with this, at least with the removal part.
