its been 10 days and my archer is still not eating, I read how Archers can be hogs but mine still ignores food or shys away from it when its floating... I've tried all types of food: crickets, floating pellets, flake food, frozen brine shrimp and blood worms...

The archer seems happy as he is swimming back and forth and doesn't look stressed, can't figure it out and I would hate to wake up one morning to find a dead from starvation or something...

Does it look skinny? Maybe it's eating when the lights are out or when you go away. Some fish are shy like that. Try some live guppies to see if that helps.

i agree, but any guppies you buy at a store are probably sick, and that might make the situation worse in the longrun. could you breed your own guppies, but that might not work fast enough. a conundrum if there ever was one

Get some houseflies and put them on a leaf above the tank. I'm sure he'll shoot those.

Mine had a yummy breakfast today.
I have a few mollies in the tank. They spit out fry every few weeks and the archer makes a quick snack out of them. Tried to save a few of the fry today, but by the time I found my fish net, they where all gone.

Dude what are your parameters?
