I have an archer that looks like he is inpacted.
What should I do?
I put some Melafix in the water. He ate a large spider a few (3) days ago.
other than that he has been eating the shrimp I feed everyone else.

One that I found in my house. Long legs = front ones are longer than back. Did think to look it up since if he was by my tank my archer would have gotten him. (he has done this before)
I did a major cleaning about a week ago. Scrubbed the sides of the tank and changed some of the sand.

If it's a broom spider it is poisonous to people, but who knows with the archers. I'd imagine the spiders they'd eat in the wild are alot more toxic than a broom spider. However being in a fish tank (olaf I'm not sure how big your tank is or how could you keep your water quality, I'm assuming good being a regular user) it could have affected the archer badly.

I have a 150 gal tank
Water is perfect.
Archers belly has gone down a little bit but not back to normal.

This is a long shot, but could you get it to eat peas (shelled)? It works for goldfish. Maybe you could mix it with it's other food. I don't think the spider has anything to do with your problem.

Well all the other fish ate them except the archer.
Good news is that the archers belly is down in size.
