Well, if they are mine aren't!

I basically have a community tank w/tetras, angels, cories, bn pleco and gold algae eaters. My two females are taking turns with the male. A month ago F1 & M laid and fertilied eggs. Got to squiggler stage and then they were eaten. Got a divider for my 55 gal tank. Two weeks ago F2 & M laid and fertilized eggs. This was their first attempt and they made it to free swimming stage and then they ate them. Now F1 & M are at the squiggler stage on one side of divider and now I noticed F2 is very large with eggs. What to do?

I have a 10 gal all ready set up, that just has a couple plecos and I can transfer everything but the angels to that tank, at least temporarily and I have another 26 or so bow front that I just purchased that I can get set up. What should I do? Should I move every one and then remove the divider. Will the male fertilize the F2's eggs even tho he is watching over F1's eggs?

Help.

Never ran into this type of PROBLEM before.

Thanks,
Connie

it all depends.

IME my pairs seem to stay together.. but there have been times when the female looked for a different male.
they are, after all, trying to procreate.
so yes it is possible.

BTW, F1, F2are often are used in referencing Filial and hybrids.
