Are my jewels fighting?

i went to watch my jewels play and stuff but when i looked in the tank the ones face was all red, the other on was all bright pink and it looked like it was going to dye by the color of it, so i watched them for 10 miniutes. Then they turned to there normal color. are they fighting or is this normal, i have only had them for 5-6 days, can some one help me understand what they are doing,

Do you know the sexes? They could be doing a mating dance, or establishing dominance(fighting). Make sure there is enough room(what size tank BTW) and enough decor for them to hide when the other one is bullying them.
