Are my Silver Dollars all right?

My goal is to get a 55 or 75 gallon tank so they have a little room to run around in. They're very skittish. I also have 2 dwarf gourami in there as well. It took forever for the tank to cycle.

I could swear I read somewhere online that they may actually be in the family of Piranha. These are vegetarians though. I did read that I can pretty much forget about having any live plants in with them as they will demolish them. Here's a pic of the tank...

And the big fella. Looks a little Piranha-ish... but he's a fraidy cat when I turn on the lights. The gourami come to the surface everytime I open up the top. They know where the food's coming from.

That's what my silver dollars look like, minus the red dot. (I mean the spotted guys)

I need to get me some of those then! They're COOL!

:D

Look like RBP's, wonder why you would want them A..... ;)

but those are definetly SDs, not RBPs....SDs are characins and come from family serrasalmidae too just like piranhas so a lottt of people mislabel SDs as Ps....They are pretty much the closest thing to being a piranha. Cool fish though, but there are just too many characteristics that set them apart...to me anyway :D
